I am trying to do with a kinect (I hope to do this with the kinect v2 this summer) what the matterport does; indoor mapping of houses/offices. I use both ReconstructME and scenect. The advantage of you guys is that ReconstructME is still making progres, and Scenect, well.. I think they’re not (don’t expect them to support the kinect v2).
But it’s such a shame that I can’t do everything I want with ReconstructMe. Why is it not possible to scan without boundary’s? Isn’t it better to work with a “maximum depth filter”. And the second question I have, why don’t you guys give us the option to work with the point clouds? There’s a lot of professional software to process big point clouds, and it would be great if we could make them with ReconstructmE..
